Bruce McBratney

President—McBratney Consulting, Ltd.

Throughout more than 20 years in consulting and corporate leadership positions, Bruce has focused on helping leaders grow their ability to develop strategy, align their organizations, and engage and lead their people. His depth of experience encompasses the disciplines of leadership development, organization design and capability building, group facilitation, and competitive and corporate strategy.

Previously, Bruce held consulting positions at The Boston Consulting Group and The Forum Corporation, and teaching and leadership roles inside Amoco Corporation and RR Donnelley & Sons Co.

Before starting his own firm, Bruce was the Vice President for management & organization development at RR Donnelley one of the world's largest printing and media services companies. Bruce was responsible for succession planning, executive search, management development, sales training, performance management, and executive team effectiveness. He worked closely with three executive teams—the CEO's, the COO's, and the SVP of Manufacturing's—facilitating their work in developing strategy, rationalizing corporate initiatives, and building the case, and the plan, for introducing six sigma.

Prior to that, with Amoco Corporation, he developed and taught case discussions, simulations, and lectures on strategic thinking and building capabilities, for the top 3,300 executives and managers of the corporation, as a member of a ground-breaking executive education faculty team that built Amoco's executive development center from the ground up.

Also at Amoco, as a director of Amoco's internal consulting firm, he developed and delivered high impact organization effectiveness consulting projects ranging from business process redesign to leadership team alignment and coaching.

Earlier in his career, as a consultant with The Boston Consulting Group, he provided research, analysis, and facilitated decision-making for clients assessing acquisition targets, integrating acquired operations, and setting marketing strategy. With The Forum Corporation, a leading provider of management and sales training, Bruce developed new products, built new client relationships, and managed large custom projects.

He holds a Master's degree in Management from MIT's Sloan School, where he concentrated in strategy implementation and organizational change, and a Bachelor's degree, magna cum laude, from Amherst College.
